Aim of the event:

To allow Bath University research postgraduates to:

  • apply their research to other research areas
  • link their research to other disciplines at the University
  • present their research to non-specialists and the public
  • learn how to apply for research council funding, with emphasis on collaborations
  • receive feedback on their ability to communicate their research to the public; and place their research in the context of the wider research community and society

Introduction to communicating your research to the public Dr Jon Copley, lecturer at the School of Ocean & Earth Science at the University of Southampton, and a former writer and assistant news editor for New Scientist. Dr Copley is also a director of SciConnect Limited, a company providing training courses in
science communication and media skills taught by science journalists

Please email your poster (pdf or Powerpoint) to postgrads@bath.ac.uk, with your full name and "Meeting of Minds - POSTER" in the subject line. Please note: you should be available from 19th -26th May to make any minor modifications required by the committee.
